Description Stephane Bortzmeyer 2003-07-17 15:37:23 CEST
BIND can log to a file or with syslog. nsd can only use syslog. This is a
problem with some operating systems where syslog is hopelessly broken (see
http://www.ornl.gov/cts/archives/mailing-lists/tru64-unix-managers/2003/07/msg00162.html
for an example). In such a case, BIND's documentation suggest to log to a file,
which is not possible with nsd;
Comment 1 Erik Rozendaal 2003-07-21 15:58:03 CEST
Added a -l option to nsd to be able to log to a file instead of syslog.
