Description Mark Beckett 2006-11-15 00:19:30 CET
The identify keyword in the nsd.conf file is used to specify the string that should be returned when the name server is queried for id.server in the chaos class. While the string can be specified in the nsd.conf file, and the zone complier accepts the string without error or warning, the string is ignored, and NSD will always return the hostname obtained from the OS in response to this query.

Fix is in the svn repository. Will be in 3.0.3.
What happened was that the hostname detected for the computer was overriding the identity from the config file. Fixed order of processing.
