Bug 420

Summary: ifconfig's anycast option prevents NSD to start

ifconfig has -at least in FreeBSD- an option "anycast",
that can be used in combination with inet6.

When I use this, then NSD wont start.
When I disable it, NSD serves fine.

I've tried this as well on hardware devices as on virtual devices,
but both gave the same result.

De anycast parameter can only be used on routing devices,
an thus with a prefixlen of 64 (which I think may be trouble for NSD).

Hi,

Could you provide some more information?

* What is the ifconfig command that you execute that will prevent NSD from starting?

* What is the error NSD is giving? Could you provide the logs?

* How does your configuration look like? Could you provide the nsd.conf?
